Title: An Unwilling Participant
Speedwriting Prompt: #1 A party one character didn't want to attend (from 19.11.11)
Universe: G1
Rating: M
Characters: Shrapnel, Kickback, Bombshell, Mirage
Warnings: *CRACK +++* Talk about sexual acts (non specific), potentially *non con,* talk of 'cyber-replication' definitely not mech-preg and a far cry from it but nevertheless I feel I should mention it for the benefit of people squicked by anything even remotely in this vein.
Notes: Another ‘project’ of mine. Was the capture of Mirage in the ‘Traitor’ episode, as ad hoc as it seemed? Or did it fulfil a greater insecticon plan? Eventually to be a longer story.
AN UNWILLING PARTICIPANT
(Happens just after Mirage's capture in 'Traitor.')
Bombshell’s horn twitched as he scanned the inert form of the blue and white elitemech. Hmmnnn .... the beetle frowned. The Autobot was stunned, but intact. And he would even be conscious soon - although would have no will of his own.
Nevertheless, it would pay to be cautious. This was a party which this character most certainly did not want to attend. He would do everything in his power to find a way out, including clandestine communication and rescue, and would do as much damage along the way as he could.
Which could be plenty, superior mechanism that he was. Exactly why he had been chosen.
The expression on Shrapnel’s face, optics fixated on the blue and white form, antlers bristling as electricity surged obviously through him, was further testament to the reason for the choice.
Kickback, however, looked far from impressed. Turning, the cricket flounced out of the room.
Bombshell rolled his optics. Leaving Shrapnel to quiver with anticipation about what was soon to come, he followed his disgruntled colleague, catching up to him before he could go far.
"Kickback?"
The smaller insecticon came to a halt, and his wings gave an angry strum. He folded his arms. "I don’t like it!" he snapped.
Bombshell sighed. "Now Kickback! We talked about this," he said. "This ‘guest’ of ours is unique among his kind. He is special, of superior craft, alloys and intelligence. Just as is Shrapnel in our own worlds. This is a mergence of importance. Is this not what we have discussed often?"
When Kickback pouted, saying nothing, Bombshell reached up and touched his arm. "Shrapnel has forseen this." he said gently. It is no accident that Mirage has fallen into our clutches today."
Kickback thought back to the failures of his unilateral cloning, to the too easy destruction of his ‘offspring,’ to his frantic couplings with Shrapnel in an attempt to produce a ‘bilateral replication’ as Cybertronians did. To the failure of it all. He knew the plan made sense.
And the Autobot blue and white elite, descendant of the First of Cybertron, Quintesson designed, had always been the obvious choice. Nevertheless ....
"I don’t like the way Shrapnel’s looking at him!" he protested. "Shrapnel never looks at anyone like that! Not even Megatron!" He scowled. "Certainly not me!"
Bombshell nodded. "I know," he said soothingly. "But this is different for Shrapnel. An interspecies merge, programming from another source - he has not done anything like this before. It will - and I hope you have not forgotten this Kickback - preserve our race."
Kickback’s face softened a little. Bombshell reached up and seized an antenna, gently running his hand down the length of it. "Besides," he said. "They are both so beautiful. It will be good to watch."
No matter whether it were Bombshell or Shrapnel, or what the circumstances, when that was done, the effect was always the same. The cricket shuddered, and his energy field flared, sparks crackling into his colleague’s hand.
"You see?" said Bombshell, liking as always the response and leaning across to kiss Kickback’s cheek. "It will be all right. Now come, The Autobot will awaken any minute. And we will be needed."
He turned to go back into the room, but Kickback stood his ground. "Just one more thing!" he said. "When Shrap’s finished - do I get a crack?"
Bombshell smiled affectionately. "Of course you will, Kickback!" he said reassuringly.
Although frankly, he thought as the blue and white mech’s optics flickered in the first stages of reconsciousness and the cyber stag beetle drew himself up, magnificent and every bit the insectoid shaman leader he had once been; and Bombshell felt the power of Shrapnel’s energy surge, even from here at the door, he doubted there would be much left to ‘have a crack’ at.
But the beetle nodded to himself, sagely. No point in telling Kickback this.
Now - to get on with the procedure .....
